Awesome 60’s Retro Brown and Gold Necktie from Sage-Allen

This necktie certainly has a lot going on! There’s patterned stripes and a textured background with thin stripes going in the opposite direction. On top of that there are light green highlights in the stripes. It’s a lot to take in, but that’s why I like it! Daddy always said if you wear a tie, you should make a statement with it.

The tie is from the Sage-Allen Men’s Store, which was up in the Hartford, Connecticut area for 104 years before finally closing their doors in 1993. It’s 56 inches long and 3 1/4 inches wide and has no pulls or stains on it. It feels like polyester. The tag is loose on one side, but you’re welcome to tack it back on (I still can’t tread the needle with my paws!)

If you like it, it’s availableĀ at my Etsy Shop: Rusty’s Tie Club

Vintage Gold Tie with Striped Shirt

Sometimes Daddy just puts together a really cool looking combination, and I figured I should post some of them here as fashion tips for people who don’t have a friendly pup like me to help pick out their ties in the morning.

This time my Daddy took a gold tie with a starburst-like pattern on it and paired it with a vintage English blue and white stripe shirt. He really likes the shirt because the stripes go horizontally. I like the tie because it really pops on the shirt and I might try and steal it one day when he’s not looking!
