Awesome 60’s Retro Brown and Gold Necktie from Sage-Allen

This necktie certainly has a lot going on! There’s patterned stripes and a textured background with thin stripes going in the opposite direction. On top of that there are light green highlights in the stripes. It’s a lot to take in, but that’s why I like it! Daddy always said if you wear a tie, you should make a statement with it.

The tie is from the Sage-Allen Men’s Store, which was up in the Hartford, Connecticut area for 104 years before finally closing their doors in 1993. It’s 56 inches long and 3 1/4 inches wide and has no pulls or stains on it. It feels like polyester. The tag is loose on one side, but you’re welcome to tack it back on (I still can’t tread the needle with my paws!)

Wide Tie of the Month Club

Daddy always tells me that bigger is better. He also says I should always go big or go home. Well, I’ve been practicing my big bark to go with these big ties I’ve found in Daddy’s closet! If you think that bigger is better, then you’ll love my wide tie of the month club! Each month I’ll dig through Daddy’s closet and pull out another wide tie to send you. Because I’m such a good pup, I’ll even make sure there’s no coffee stains on them!

Each Month you’ll receive another vintage wide tie. I try to make sure that all the ties are 4 inches wide or more!

  • The first month you’ll receive an introductory letter welcoming you to the club (or as a gift to the club if it’s a gift).
  • Ties are non-returnable, and the subscription may not be cancelled once first shipment is mailed.
  • If you have a special request, let me know and I will do my best to fetch ties meeting those criteria (only blue, no stripes, make them funky, etc…) but I can’t promise. Daddy might wear it the day I’m shipping!
